Mon.-Tues.: Read examples of Classification essays in the textbook, pp. 488-503; Exercises on website: Parallel structure, Thesis sentences (2). Compare your answers to Answers (website).
Wed. : Read student examples of Classification essays. Discuss your response to these student essays on our Discussion Group (Nicenet) and respond to other classmates' responses. Exercises on website: Punctuation, Complex sentences. Compare your answers to Answers (website).
Thurs. : Post rough draft of your Classification essay on the Discussion Group. Respond with constructive criticism to your class mates' rough drafts.
Week 3 June 16-20
Mon.: Essay II due. Take mid-term exam, Essay III in class. Monday evening, read examples of Process Analysis essays in the textbook, pp. 461-473.
Tues.: Post ideas for your Process Analysis paper; respond to others' ideas.
Wed.: Write your rough draft.
Thurs.: Post rough draft of your Process Analysis essay on Discussion Group. Respond.
