to correctly document sources and write a Works Cited page
to paraphrase and quote from secondary sources without plagiarizing
to use databases effectively
to write a well-developed essay with a controlling, argumentative thesis
to write focused and coherent paragraphs that support the thesis and advance the argument
to use texts effectively as evidence for the argument
to use transitions within a paragraph

to write English without the following

            grammatical errors
            syntactical error
            diction errors
