What is the Counselors Networks?


The Texas Counselors' Network was developed as a forum for networking, information sharing and staff development for elementary, middle/junior high school, high school, college and service entity counselors.

Your local Counselor's Network activities are coordinated and funded by the Global EDGE and is led by a local Steering Committee.

What does the Steering Committee do?

  • Determine Priority Topics of Discussion
  • Plan Counselor-Focused Staff Development Sessions
  • Provide Information on Current Issues and Initiatives
  • Secure Speakers for Professional Development
  • Provide Opportunities to Earn LPC & CEU Credits
  • Meets 2x per School Year - Most Committee Work is Completed via E-mail

Who is on the Steering Committee?

Steering Committee Members reflect all levels of counselors in education in the local consortium.

  • Elementary School Counselor
  • Middle School/Junior High Counselor
  • High School Counselor
  • Community College Counselor
  • Education Service Center Specialist
