I completely agree. Charles did make a lot of changes for Emma, but most of these came only after long periods of depression and sickness. But at the same time I do see where Charles was working and had other obligations so he could not see her moods day in and day out. I also think that every women is looking for that knight in shining armor to some degree but like you said Emma took it to an extreme and acted more like a spoiled child needing to be awake to the here and now rather than living a romantic tale. I agree with your thoughts and I enjoyed reading them. Rachel
