Academic Progress Appeals Committee
Purpose:
To hear appeals of students placed on academic suspension.

Purpose: To address college-wide issues, to support district strategic goals and to promote service, communication and a spirit of community at Collin.

Twelve members are elected college-wide, seven members are appointed by ACC

Purpose: To discuss issues, opportunities and concerns shared by associate faculty members and forward comments, recommendations and proposals to academic leadership for additional consideration and follow-up. Banner Executive Steering Committee Purpose: To review recommendations and make decisions regarding the implementation of BANNER, the integrated administrative software system. How is the committee selected? Appointments are comprised of the data owners for each of the major administrative systems, including Student, Financial Aid, Finance, Human Resources, and Information Technology.

Center for Scholarly and Civic Engagement (CSCE) Committee
Purpose:
Expand pedagogies of civic engagement; increase service-learning in multiple
disciplines and within academic programs; enhance current service-learning
practice and promote active collaboration among academic programs and academic
student organizations.

Appointed by academic deans; selection of student members is based on student organization

Purpose:
To promote academic excellence through professional development for faculty,
peer review and coordination of the Minnie Stevens Piper nominee selection
process. Also, to monitor faculty

Data Standards and Quality Assurance Committee
Purpose:
To systematically monitor and improve data quality in Collin’s administrative

Disciplinary Appeals Committee
Purpose:

Financial Aid Appeals Committee
Purpose:
To hear and review petitions from students requesting reconsideration for
financial aid assistance.

Grade Appeals Board (GAB)
Purpose:
To hear student petitions for grade changes; and to make recommendations to

To support Honors activities and recruitment, to recommend curriculum for
Honors courses, to support the Honors Institute Chair and assist with any

Purpose:
To advise, implement and assess the Learning Communities Program at Collin.

Online Advisory Board
Purpose:
The OAB reviews online courses to ensure that they meet the same standards of
quality and rigor as defined for onsite courses. OAB members are Collin
College faculty who teach online, and each division is represented by a faculty

Quality Enhancement Plan Advisory Committee Purpose: To review QEP outcomes and make decisions regarding the implementation of the quality enhancement plan. How is the committee selected? To administer the compulsory student activity fees in accordance with the Texas
