Drug Field - Testing Course

Cost: $109 payable by cash, check or purchase order to "Sobotka Associates" by start of class.

The class will cover the safe and proper use of commercial field test kits. Also included will be the interpretation of test results, the documentation of testing, and other aspects related to field-testing. A portion of the class will be devoted to the recognition of the controlled substances most commonly subjected to field-testing. Participants will be provided with test kits to practice hands-on testing of whatever drugs are available.

Adam Sobotka retired as a group supervisor from the DEA Laboratory system after 34 years of service.  Since 1998 he has conducted several hundred classes dealing with drugs of abuse and field testing certification.  He is a member of the Texas, Louisiana, and Oklahoma narcotic officer’s associations and of one national and three regional Forensic Science associations.  Mr. Sobotka has testified as an expert witness approximately 150 times in 9 states, Washington, DC and Puerto Rico.
